About Kotalaparru : This village is came under penugonda mandalam with population of 2415 living in 643 Houses.The distance between Penugonda and Kotalaparru is 3 kms only.

  History : The sage Parasara prayed and installed a nrusimha perumal in korukonda and started his journey towards Godavari river. While doing his daily rituals he found Keshava swamy salagram stone and he performed daily rituals to the idol after he came to his present place he completed all the rituals and diety is unable to move and by god order he did pratishta, from there the place is called Kesava puri after that the village underwent many setbacks,finally starting of kaliyuga it found by removal of dense forest by Axe(AXE in Sanskrit Kutara) after that it called Kutara puri. In 14 th century The King Ranga Vardhana shows great interest and he arrange administration to the temple after That Mogaltur King Raja Kalidindi Thirupati Raju gave some paddy lands to temple from nearer village Very later in 17 th century again the diety is in earth and the former tahsildhar Vangipuram Venkata raghavacharyas wife srimathi venkata lakshmi got dream abt the diety presence in earth and they with the help of their children and villagers dug the earth and finally they got diety and the lady by selling her ornaments she made the temple. In the year 1811 the astan vidwan of Mogaltur Sri Nallan Chakravarthula Tathacharya Swami has bought Sri Ramanuja, 12 alwars into temple and it made as Divya sthalam Tathacharya started Ramanuja Utsavam in temple till now same procedure followed according to Sri Vaikhanasa Agama and bhramotsvas are in month of April and ramanuja utsavas are in month of may.
